Arm hair removal: how do you handle it?
Would you (besides removing hair from your legs, armpits, bikini line, and face) also like to remove hair from your arms?
You can approach it in several ways.

Which method you choose depends on your budget, how often you want to remove your arm hair, and whether you want to do it yourself or prefer visiting a salon.
Methods for arm hair removal
I’d like to share 4 hair removal methods with you that are suitable for your arms.
Here they are.
1. Shaving
Shaving is a popular hair removal method among women. It is easy, fast, and affordable. Just like your legs, you can also remove arm hair with a razor. In that case, choose a single-blade razor.
This clogs less quickly and is easier to clean than a (disposable) multi-blade razor. To prevent micro-cuts and protect your skin during shaving, I also recommend using a transparent shaving cream.

2. Hair removal cream
Instead of a razor, you can also opt for a hair removal cream. This is a cream you apply to your arms, let it sit for a few minutes, and then remove. You rinse off the residue under the tap.
This is a relatively ‘painless’ way of hair removal, but the chance of skin irritation remains (especially with sensitive skin).
Furthermore, it is wise not to expose your arms to the sun for at least 24 hours after using a hair removal cream.
The advantage is that your arm hair stays away for about three to five days.
3. Epilating, waxing, and sugaring
If you want to enjoy smooth arms for longer, then epilating and waxing might be for you. With these methods, the entire hair – including the hair root – is removed.
It can take three to five weeks before the hair grows back. However, the disadvantage is that it is an ‘aggressive’ way of hair removal. The hair removal itself is painful and causes redness.
So, not very convenient if you have an important event on the same day.

4. Permanent hair removal
Another method for removing arm hair is permanent hair removal. This method does exactly what the name suggests: removes your hair permanently.
This is done using a laser device that heats and destroys the hair follicles through light flashes. The result is no recurring hair growth. The method is virtually painless and the chance of irritation is small.
The downside is that it is an expensive treatment for which you have to visit a specialized salon several times.
Irritation after hair removal
An unwanted effect of most hair removal methods is skin irritation. You may suffer from itching, red bumps, a burning sensation, ingrown hairs, and inflammation.
Your skin can react differently per hair removal method, so trying out different ways of hair removal is recommended. Skin irritation as a result of hair removal is, by the way, a normal reaction of your skin.
Every woman suffers from this – to a greater or lesser extent. Fortunately, something can be done about it – with the help of the right care.

Caring for your arms before and after hair removal
Clean, healthy, nourished skin reacts better to hair removal. That’s why it’s wise to cleanse the skin well prior to hair removal, whether you choose shaving or another method.
A good way is to exfoliate. This removes dirt and dead skin cells and prevents unwanted intruders like bacteria from entering your skin.
After removing your arm hair, I recommend using a caring and nourishing cream – such as the YIONN Nainn lotion with vitamin E, mint oil, aloe vera, and chamomile. This calms your skin and nourishes it intensively.
Developing a routine that suits you
When it comes to personal care, everyone has their own routine. From brushing teeth to visiting the beauty salon. We shape it in our own way, but we all want the best for ourselves and our bodies.
There are a number of steps you can include in your care ritual that contribute to problem-free hair removal. Nourishing, exfoliating, caring for, and maintaining your skin are a must.
In addition to the general care products you already have at home, I recommend starting to use a lotion specifically developed for women who remove hair regularly: the YIONN Raka lotion.
You use this lotion daily for the first three weeks and then scale back to a few times a week (depending on what your skin needs). This lotion is specially developed for preventing itching, red bumps, and ingrown hairs.

Adding YIONN Raka to your shaving ritual
Whether or not to shave is a choice; fortunately, shaving irritation is now one too!
YIONN has developed the perfect product for every step in your shaving routine!
You’re fed up with it. Time and again, those red bumps, ingrown hairs, and itching after hair removal on your bikini line, armpits, and legs.
You feel frustrated and anything but sexy. No woman should have to feel that way. And that includes you.
First of all, I want to reassure
you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your skin.
It’s actually just doing what it’s supposed to do. It reacts to the stress of hair removal, which causes all sorts of unwanted side effects, such as itching and red bumps.
Not the result we women want, so we need to give our skin and nature a helping hand.
And that is exactly what YIONN products
do!

YIONN Raka is truly a top product! A gentle solution for those annoying, painful ingrown hairs, especially when combined with the scrub.

I thought: you know what, I’ll just give it a try! OMG!!! I really should have done that sooner. I’m 37 now and for the first time, I dare to wear a bikini bottom with pride
. What a miracle cure! Not a single bit of irritation to be found. It’s still bizarre. And I really suffered from it.

A product that does what it promises, easy to use. I now have almost all the products and won’t use anything else.

After 2 weeks, I already noticed a difference. Almost no bumps and itching anymore after shaving. I’m definitely going to try more products.

I’ve often used things like this but they never helped me, even though others were always satisfied with them, and I felt the same about
this product too, but I ordered it anyway and it took a bit longer for me, but it definitely helped!

Much less irritation and bumps. The shaving gel and Raka are truly my favorites; last time I bought shaving foam out of necessity and immediately got bumps
and irritation again…

Free from your shaving irritation within 3 weeks: or your money back
That is my promise to you!

From certified nurse to hair removal expert:
I’m Wendy, the founder of YIONN. I know better than anyone what it’s like to go through life with shaving discomforts.
After desperately trying all sorts of ways and remedies for red shaving bumps and ingrown hairs and spending a lot of money, I was
sick of it.
I decided to find a solution for my shaving irritation myself that actually worked, and I succeeded!
I developed Raka, a caring lotion based on rose water, camphor, and willow bark. By applying a thin layer to the problem area, it easily and quickly calms the skin after hair removal, prevents red bumps, and lets the hair grow out again—instead of in.
And with that, I could finally say goodbye to my insecurity and discomfort.
Hallelujah.
When it later turned out that Raka worked not only for me but also for many other women, I started creating several other products around it that can make hair removal a pleasant experience again.
And because I am so convinced of how it works and I don’t want to keep your money in the rare case that you aren’t satisfied, I came up with the unique YIONN 30-day money-back guarantee (a guarantee you normally never get on hygiene products).
