Raka FAQ

How do I use the Raka treatment lotion?

For the first three weeks, apply a thin layer of Raka treatment lotion* to the problem area every day.

Use a (reusable) cotton pad to apply the lotion. Let absorb and do not rinse off. Afterwards, you can apply deodorant, body lotion, or other care products as desired.

Raka is suitable for application immediately after hair removal, but it may cause a stinging sensation on sensitive skin. Want to avoid this? Then apply Raka at a different time of day than when you remove hair.

TIP: apply Raka before you go to sleep. At night, your skin is less affected by tight clothing, and you won’t have to wait to get dressed during the morning rush while the lotion absorbs.

Raka has a mild exfoliating effect. This can cause slight peeling, which is a natural result of releasing dead skin cells.
Not everyone experiences this effect, and it is not necessary to achieve a good result.

By applying Raka in the evening, you can nourish your skin in the morning with a moisturizer or body lotion. This also speeds up the release of dead skin cells. This peeling stops automatically once all dead skin cells have been removed.

After 3 weeks of daily use, you can determine the frequency that is right for your skin. This isn’t the same for everyone, as every skin type is different. Do this by first applying Raka every other day. If this goes well and the issues don’t return, use it every 2 days, and so on… This way, you’ll find the routine that suits your skin.

* Contains a small amount of aspirin. Not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or in case of allergy.

Who is Raka (not) suitable for?

Raka treatment lotion is suitable for both men and women and for all skin types and skin tones.
Are you pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to acetylsalicylic acid (better known under the brand name Aspirin)? Then Raka is not suitable.

If you still want to use Raka during pregnancy or breastfeeding, always consult your medical specialist before starting use. Good to know: Raka contains less than 2% acetylsalicylic acid in a full 90ml bottle.

Which body parts is Raka suitable for?

Raka treatment lotion is suitable for all body parts where you perform hair removal, including intimate zones.
Want to use Raka on your face? Keep in mind that it has a mild exfoliating effect and Raka contains no SPF. Therefore, use Raka in the evening so you can properly nourish and protect your skin with a suitable SPF the next morning and throughout the day.

Can Raka be used with all forms of hair removal?

Yes. You can use Raka treatment lotion if you shave, during waxing, epilating, but also if you use a (home) IPL device or undergo another (professional) laser treatment.

For use around a professional IPL or laser treatment, the advice is not to use Raka treatment lotion for 5 days before the treatment and 2 days after the treatment. Always consult with your practitioner beforehand for the best advice for your skin.

For use during waxing, epilating, and using a home IPL device, the advice is not to use Raka treatment lotion on the same day.

How quickly will I see results?

With daily use of Raka treatment lotion, you can expect results after a maximum of 3 weeks, but you often experience this sooner.

Have you seen no or minimal results after 14 days while using Raka treatment lotion daily?
Then switch to the so-called intensive course: apply Raka twice a day for 10 days, in the morning and in the evening.

Do you start seeing results then? Then go back to applying it once a day.

How long does one bottle last?

With daily use, a bottle of Raka treatment lotion generally lasts 2 to 3 months.

Keep in mind that this depends on which parts of your body you are treating. If you use it on both legs, your armpits, and your bikini line, the usage rate will be closer to 2 months than 3 months.

I don’t see any results yet. What should I do?

Have you seen no results at all after 14 days while using Raka treatment lotion daily?
Then switch to the so-called intensive course: apply Raka twice a day for 10 days, in the morning and in the evening.

Do you experience results within those 10 days? Then go back to applying it once a day.

Still don’t notice any improvement after those 10 days? Be sure to contact us; we’re happy to help.
